Child Controls is a brainchild of Gene Castelli. Gene was fed up with his kids playing computer games all day long. He wanted a way to ensure the kids played outside every so often, and maintained a balance in their lives. The solution? Game Controls Online!

December, 2005: Addition of a web portal with the aim of keeping parents upto date on a variety of current issues faced by children.
November, 2005: Release of Game Controls on Download.com
August, 2005: Release of APE(Automatic Porn Blocker), a fully functional porn blocker with a host of features.
August, 2005: Addition of a basic porn blocker to Game Controls
July, 2005: Beta testing at Gene's children's computer
June, 2005: The first complete version of Game Controls
